The membership of the ABMA Commercial Systems Group is composed of Active and Associate Member manufacturers (designers or fabricators) of equipment and components that contribute to boiler systems 400,000 Btuh to 20.0 MMBH heat input, including, but not limited to:  watertube and firetube boilers, burners, heat exchangers, economizers, wasteheat recovery equipment, controls & instrumentation, pumps, deaerators and valves.

The ABMA Commercial Systems Group represents two specific market segments:

Light Commercial

·          Btu Input Capacities:  400,000 to 12.5 MMBH

·          ASME, Sec. IV; ASME Sec. I

·          Applications:  hydronic hot water heating boilers, low pressure steam boilers and high pressure steam boilers for heating and process applications.

·          Types:  steel watertube/firetube; copperfin; cast aluminum; coil; and cast iron.

·          Efficiency Range (Input/Output):

o         Standard Efficiency - 80%-85%

o         Mid-Efficiency - 85% to 88%

o         High Efficiency Condensing - > 90%

·          Fuels:    Natural Gas, Propane, Fuel Oil

·          Emissions:  Uncontrolled; Controlled (< 9 ppm to 60 ppm when fired with natural gas.

Heavy Commercial

·          Btu Input Capacities:  12.5 to 20.0 MMBH

·          ASME, Sec. IV; ASME Sec. I

·          Applications:  central hot water heating boilers, low pressure steam boilers and high pressure steam boilers for heating and process applications.

·          Types:  watertube, firetube, coil.

·          Efficiency Range (Input/Output):

o         Standard Efficiency - 80%-85%

o         Mid-Efficiency - 85% to 88%

o         High Efficiency Condensing - > 90%

·          Fuels:    Natural Gas, Propane, Fuel Oil, Alternative Fuels
