The Environmental Affairs & Services Group’s membership  is composed of all members of the Association – Active and Associate Members, across product lines – having an interest in environmental technology and in environmental issues – legislative or regulatory -- that may have an impact on the design, operation and sale of their equipment and systems.

The purpose of the Group is to promote understanding of environmental technology applications to the boiler and combustion equipment industry and to be the unified voice of the boiler industry on environmental legislative and regulatory issues and proposals generated by federal, regional, state or international agencies.  The Group, acting as a unit or through its task forces and working groups, reviews and comments on federal, regional, state or international legislative and regulatory proposals and initiatives as needed.  The ultimate goal of the Group is to assist and advise the boiler and combustion equipment industry (1) in shaping and understanding environmental regulations and (2) in providing environmentally compliant equipment to their customers.

Positions by the Group are developed through consensus and in recognition of the diversity of the Association.  They are reviewed and approved by the Association Board of Directors.
