ABMA is excited to announce the launch of the Women in the Boiler Industry (WIBI) Professional Community, as well as the inaugural Panel and networking Luncheon for BOILER 2024, intended to celebrate the growing number of women in our industry.

ABMA’s Board Vice-Chair, Nancy Simoneau from Groupe Simoneau and ABMA’s Vice President of Membership & Marketing, Shaunica Jayson are collaborating to launch the WIBI professional community, offering an opportunity to network, raise awareness of our diverse workforce and advance our industry. The goal of WIBI is to promote, inspire, support, and connect women in boilers.

To launch this community, ABMA hosted a Panel and Luncheon at BOILER 2024 on May 2nd, sponsored by Vector Systems, where leading women in our industry will share challenges and successes coupled with inspiration for the future of women in boilers.

The panel was moderated by Shaunica Jayson and includes Kimberly Adkins, Chief Boiler Inspector for the Commonwealth of Virginia and only female U.S. chief boiler inspector, Teresa Melfi, Lincoln Electric Technical Fellow who holds over 50 welding patents, Nancy Simoneau, President of Groupe Simoneau and Tricia Staible, ABMA Board Member and President of Robinson Fans.
