ABMA Partners with Tulsa Tech for Special Career Day Event

ABMA and many of its local Tulsa members engaged with more than 100 students and faculty at Tulsa Tech’s Broken Arrow campus on Monday, October 1st. This event took place in conjunction with the 2018 Manufacturers Conference.

Member company representation included e-Tech, John Zink Hamworthy, Power Flame, Tulsa Fin Tube, Victory Energy, Webco Industries and Zeeco.

Students with a focus in welding, machining, mechatronics and drafting joined their instructors to learn about the career opportunities in the boiler industry.

Each ABMA member company had an opportunity to share a short presentation or video on their company and engaged with students during a networking reception.

“ABMA is focused on addressing workforce challenges in the boiler industry and partnering with Tulsa Tech should positively impact our local companies, raising awareness for the boiler industry and sharing the fantastic career opportunities with students and faculty”, said ABMA President & CEO Scott Lynch.

A special thank you to Rachel Schaller and Karen Johnson at Tulsa Tech for their willingness to engage with ABMA and bring our local leading companies in the boiler industry to their campus.
